I like to have mixes ready at all times. Helpful when you are in a hurry or mixing up large batches.
For those looking to save a buck.....eat better....and get back to "old time ways", this is a great book. Sure beats eating all that processed junk in boxes from the store!
Another one I paid for but never was able to use.
There are some simple recipes, but if you are someone who is looking to reset your pantry to all homemade mixes, this could be a good start, but there are more comprehensive books out there. A fun addition to books on mixes for your library.
it asks for ingredients that are very weird and I don't know how to get them. The concoctions are just as full of "bad" ingreients as the thing they are copying.
I have not read this yet but It was free so I bought it. i am very interested in this subject matter so it will be very helpful when the time comes and I can put this knowledge to use.
This book is marvellous - it says so and it is no exaggeration!
This is a book that informs how to cook without ready-made mixes, but still.have an instant mix ready for use.
It does sound too good to be true but it is so clearly set out that one can understand with batch-making (no different from.cooking for the freezer really) that some of each type can produce the different recipes.
The bright and interesting book cover exactly reflects the recipes within as there is a kaleidoscope of food to be produced from the initial basics covered.
There are both savoury and sweet ideas, some spices and rubs, and, even pickling spices.
This is a good, simple read that explains storage, a few money saving tips(we all appreciate those!) and allows and really encourages self expression and experimentation.
This is a book to keep handy and enjoy the recipes that are truly all yours and all done in a jiffy. Here is one to keep in the recipe collection and, I believe, will be used often.
